LAN News: Event recap & WarRoom Gaming News
LAN InfoWell the dust has finally settled on the WarRoom Gaming Inagural Event. The entire WarRoom Gaming staff would like to thank everyone who was able to make it out to the event this past weekend. We hope everyone had a great time because we had a great time running it. Aside from a couple of power issues everything went pretty smooth.

Congratulations to all the prize winners. We gave out 4 cases of bawls, 4 case appliques, 2 T-shirts, 3 mouse pads, and a boat load of swag. And lets not forget the unbelievable Intel prize package that was given away, an unlocked E6700 Core 2 Duo processor and a 975XBX BADAXE motherboard!!! We want to thank all of sponsors Intel, Bawls, Func, The Shattered Web, CPU magazine & Nvidia for their generous donations of swag and prizes.

We had a great time putting on this event for you, however due to outside circumstances this will be the first and final WarRoom Gaming LAN. My apologies go out to those who truly enjoyed the event and to those who specifically asked me if there was going to be another one. At this time we just feel that it is better for us both to persue our different interests rather than continue on with WarRoom.

So what does that mean for you? Well for starters the WarRoom Gaming site will be taken down shortly and retooled into something more akin to a gaming news site. All of your user accounts will still be active when we resurface and there will be a newletter sent out to everyone who is registered letting you know that we are back. It is my hope that you will enjoy the new content on the site and help to make this a premier gaming portal on the net.

In terms of the LAN community I invite you to visit lanpartygods and s2i to stay current on all the local LAN parties. I also want to encourage everyone in the area to visit Virtual Rush in Media, PA the areas PREMIER gaming center.
